Artist uses leaves and flower petals to create beautiful representations of birds

These artistic representations look like paintings, but are actually made with flowers and leaves the forest.

Hannah Bullen-Ryner is a great artist who has developed a fascinating way to reconnect with Mother Nature, creating portraits of various birds using only the elements found in her, mainly with leaves, fruits, flowers and branches that stand out perfectly with floor backgrounds of the forest.

Although her creations last a short time, that fleeting moment manages to be immortalized with photographs that she shares to show her love and gratitude to Mother Nature. The inspiration for her creations was found in a strong anxiety crisis that she experienced in her life when she suffered postpartum depression when she had her twins.

“One day when the girls were between 16 and 17 months old, I went to sit in a small forest and find some calm for an hour” And at that moment he created his first work with small leaves that he found around him. “When I sat down with the finished piece, a small Muntjac deer came into the clearing I was standing, and when we looked into each other's eyes, instead of running away, he was happy with me in my presence for about 20 minutes. So when I thought about it, I felt like I opened a portal in the forest that day, one that would open up the conversation between Mother Earth and me. "

As she started to create these works representing birds, she started to value natural elements more “I started to really see all the small details and the uniqueness of each plant, tree or shrub. The small wild flowers, the wonderful variety of wild fruits and the constantly changing colors and textures. "

This became her creative way of taking a moment for herself, finding her inner peace and maintaining an incredible connection with nature, helping her with her mental health. Since for Bullen-Ryner "art is cathartic, a way of giving up everything, a way of expressing what cannot be said"

Her art has inspired many people to connect with nature, with an approach of respect, love and protection to Mother Earth, which is reflected in each of her beautiful portraits of birds.
